This morning I was checking out Ravnica (City of Guilds) stuff on the WOTC site. I was thinking what a cool campaign setting it woud be for regular D&D. A while ago, I was checking out Dreamblade. I remember thinking the same thing: a lot of this stuff would be cool in a D&D or Modern game.
So, I guess I'm wondering why WOTC doesn't make it easier to cross-play this stuff. Why not put out books--or pamphlets...downloads...whatever--that allow and make it easier to play everything in whatever type game.
Wouldn't that get more RPG guys into the Magic, Dreamblade stuff? And it would also get all the Magic and Dreamblade people into the RPG stuff if they knew they could play the stuff they liked there in a more detailed, story-based way.
It seems like it would be a win-win for everybody. Why don't they do this? Are there any plans for this in the future?
Imagine being able to play all the Magic stuff in an RPG. Sounds pretty neat to me.
