Anyways, I think psy warriors are cool, but they really aint that powerful. Because yes, dispel magic works on psionics under the core rules. You can choose to run a psionics are different campaign and that gives them a boost frequently but usually dispel works.

Unless he can bring down a troll with one hit those feats won't do him any good. And trolls can have levels, too, you know. And wield greatswords. And wear armor.

Dispel Magic workon Psionics if you are using the default world view of Psionic and Magic is the same.

By the same token, the psionics powers of dispel psionics work against magic.

Further, you would challenge a psionic warrior the same way that you would challenge a fighter. IIRC they have poor will saves. Those Spell focus Hold Persion can really stink.....

Ok, not really, but to each his own. Some of us may be hard of reading and the shouting makes it easier to read.

I don't think they are all that powerful, especilly because there are not that many Psi points available. They are a really cool class, but far from broken or over powering.

Some suggestions to overpowered parties:

Max hit points

Increase a save by +1

Add a level to a few of your baddies (make sure it is the one he is fighting)

Increase weapons for more damage Great sword instead of longsword...

Give the villains potions of bull str or haste

Add a few lower to mid level lackies in the combats using ranged attacks.


You don't need to kill him, just challenge him more so he cannot kill everything before the others get involved. Use poker chips to track is Psi points. He can turn them in as he uses them and you return them when he rests.

I was thinking the same thing, but with the huge amount of posters here, give him the benefit of the doubt will ya?

Anyway, Dispel Magic is most vertainly your friend, as well as multiple encounters per day; after his initial boffs have worn off, he isn't that good really. Anotehr thing why he might be too powerful in comparison to the rest of the group is because he has magic because of his Psionic buffs, but you don't give out a lot of magic to the other players.

Psionic Warriors are powerful, but they aren't clerics (ie. anything a PW can do, a cleric can do better, excepting psionic feats and unarmed combat).

And i would like to point out, not all necromancers are evil. I had a necromancer once and her concept was that of a doctor.
