Why remove pronounciations?

As a priest of Farlanghn, I was rather dismayed to see that WotC removed the pronounciation guides from the diety descriptions in the PHB. Why, for gods' sake, would you do such a thing?

Maybe they wanted to make it *really* hard to pronounce?

Because they discovered that this didn't prevented the 27 threads-a-week entitled "how do you pronounce "goblin" ?" on their messageboards.

Or messageboreds.
