Will 3.5 first printings be full of errors?

He's saying that overly cautious (pessimistic? skeptical? disaffected? paranoid?) gamers might end up waiting for second printing that will never occur.

Yep, WotC made a second printing of the PH because it sold out. It was not done to fix any typos and add errata. They needed to do a second print run and took the opportunity to do those things at the same time. So don?t count on a quick second printing at all, much less for the sole purpose of correcting things.

Kind of a Catch 22 there... Since the more gamers who put off buying a first print to wait for a second print, the longer it will take for a second print to appear.

Not really a catch-22. If Wizards and the printers did it right on the First Printing, and words get out that they did it right, many of us who says we're waiting for the corrected Second Printing may change our minds.

Easier said than done, but an Incorporated business with a large parent company should be up to the task.

This is a little off topic, but I'm a bit confused. OK, actually, I'm a bit dense. I can't find WHEN exactly the new books are coming out. Just a vague "Coming in July". OK, is that July 1st, or July 30th? When exactly are the books coming out?

Man, I couldn't believe WotC picked my birthday to release the new books. I just wish I had a way to get them for my birthday.

As for whether their will be errors. Most definitely but it sounds like the Wotc staff have been giving it their all to make the new books as 'clean' as possible.

And the fact that other d20 companies are helping with the process makes me feel better. After all, it's not like WotC had that option when 3.0 first came out.

Cheers!
