D&D 4E Will 4E be announced at D&D Experience?

I don't agree. Most people do not buy third party products for D&D or D20 Modern, especially now, unless you are talking adventures or add ons like counters, tiles, Paizo's Deck of Many Things (can't keep it in stock).

The Deck of Many Things is by Green Ronin actually, Paizo just stocks it in their webstore (where it has indeed sold very well).

It's not the maths that attracts people, it's the game. The game of playing a hero in a (D&D/generic) fantasy setting, killing orcs, and getting treasure. D&D's popularity is based on what the game does, not on the actual setting... well, past the "mediaeval world with monsters and treasure" that most D&D games use.

I'm with Merric on this one... unless by setting one means a sort of implied meta-setting which could be called "D&D-style fantasy"

I think, that they might actually announce revision to D20 Modern (which technically is kind of D&D 3.3 version without D&D fluff around) and so updated it to 3.8e and test the situation with it. That way there will be no losts on current sales of D&D and still there will be a progress of the system (and of course lots of playtesting possibilites). Altough the revision might not be call D20 Modern but some different way... e. g. Universal D20.

That way it would be really Solomon's Decision and it might make lots of people happy and still sell quite an impressive amounts of books with "rules revision"...

Question is wheter the will anounce it on D&D Experience or on some other occasion.

I'd suggest checking gamingreport periodically - they get their scoops up pretty quickly.
