It's good to see the official word on this. I must admit I was surprised to see these rumors coming so strongly this time. Why would you be releasing a rules compendium if the whole system was going to be updated in three or four months?

Still, good to see we have another year at least before the new rules come a callin'.

Pushing a bit on the rumour front:

WOTC will focus on: Adventures, DM Tools, Player Aids, Miniatures, Accessories.

I wonder if that order was made by the blog's author or by the WotC officials. In any case, that seems to mean that we can count with a load of more adventures. The Yuan-Ti thing seems very interesting, though...

Chris Perkins unveils the gargantuan White Dragon model proof (painted) and brings it around. it looks great. Very delicate splayed wings-- almost translucent.

A gargantuan White eh? Wonder if that's from the Drizzt pack...
