D&D 5E Will they release tidbits to build anticipation?

I'd be interested in seeing some more content previews--but I honestly can't think of what they can share that would be substantial enough to be satisfying without really just being a needless reveal of the books we're going to buy anyway.

Oh, I'm sure it isn't meant to be satisfying. It's meant to build anticipation. Show a piece of art here, preview some finished text here, post an excerpt of a few complete pages there... and that's just for starters! I'm pretty sure they have some stuff that will wow us. They could have a limited character builder online 3 weeks before the release date. Stuff like that.

I'd be very excited to see a complete monster entry (with art, layout, text, and stats).

A complete monster entry would actually be a pretty good call. That would give us all sorts of things to analyze and complain about.

I hope they give lots of sidebar type commentary outlining their thought processes on how they came up with this or that final decision. Of course, the armchair quarterbacking kvetching will be glorious to see. But, I'd still like to see it.

Hmm...while I enjoy reading such things, I'm not quite sure I want to give up word count in the product for it.

Well, reading today's news on the front page, looks like I got exactly my wish. Lots of sidebars for how to modify the game to emulate other editions. Granted, it's not exactly what I was looking for, but, still close enough for me. :D
