Will Ultimate Power be reprinted?

Ultimate Power seems like an incredibly in-demand book, judging from eBay and half.com.

Does anybody know if GR will reprint it? (I browsed the GR website, but didn't exhaustively search for an answer.)

If not, any idea why not? It sure seems like it would sell like hotcakes.

BTW, I'm aware the PDF is available. I intensely dislike PDFs for reading or reference, so that options out for me. On the other hand, if anybody has the physical book in excellent condition for sale at cover price, I'll buy.

Yeah, I believe it is getting reprinted sometime. However, I also seem to remember hearing/reading that it could be a while away, but in the meantime, there's a possibility of them doing some PoD (Print on Demand), via Lulu I guess. Unfortunately, that would most likely be in B&W, and also (probably) not hardback.

One of the recent podcasts had some info on this. Might even have been the most recent one over at GreenRonin.com - but I'm not completely sure.

Hopefully someone like NikChick, or another one of those folks from GR, will see this thread and provide an official response.

Here's a relevant post from January by Chris Pramas of Green Ronin on the Atomic Think Tank:

Ultimate Power became hard to find after it went OOP. We do intend to reprint it but it's a cash flow issue. Color books are expensive to print so we need to have enough cash on hand after getting out the new books to do it. Right now a lot of money is tied up in A Song of Ice and Fire, which is both a color book and a big print job. We have to get on the other side of that before we can consider a reprint of Ultimate Power.

Now we are getting set up with Lulu, a print on demand service. I am considering making a black and white version of UP available that way as a stopgap. That way folks who really, really wanted UP right now would at least have some kind of option. Is that of interest?

Can someone give me a potted review of this book? I can't find one on the net at the moment...

Cheers,
Dan

Ultimate Power is made out of concentrated awesome; if you play MnM, it's pretty much a must-have. Good to see the Pocket version coming.

Speaking of, BTW, are the pocket versions of the M&M books illustrated?

Yes. The pocket books are black and white and a different size- those are the only differences [edit- in pocket Ultimate Power- see below about the core book].

The Pocket Core book is also missing the GM advice and Villain/Minion archetypes. Handy if you're running the game but not necessary for play. At the time it came out, it also had the most up to date errata, though I think the most recent printing incorporated all of that as well by now.
