i'm going to convert these thingies pretty soon, but i'm not sure what monster type they should be. at first thought i'd say aberration, but then the text suggests that they could be from an alternate plane, so do they make better outsiders? should i put a poll on this thing? (and if you think they should be undead, then you have no idea what i'm talking about.)

also, did they first appear in the FR boxed set Ruins of Myth Drannor, or somewhere else?

I'm not familiar with the creature but I would suggest closing this thread and starting a new one with a poll. There are tons of people who read these boards and never post at all. They do, however, participate in polls. It's the best way to get the vast majority of people who read these boards involved by allowing the folks who like to lurk to express their opinion along with those who post.

Just IMHO, of course...

ah, yer probably right. i thought about a poll, but didn't do it. if i don't get a response by tonight (after the game, heh), i'll post a poll then.
don't know about sat, but i have thought about it. i'll take a look and see what i can do.

They'd be abberations, IMHO... If you decided as DM that they originate from the Elemental Plane of Air (which would be the logical choice) then make them outsiders...
