The winter slows down the war, and Northern Thunder Island is relatively quiet. Back on the Mainland, the emperor once again retreats to chambers, this time for the whole season.

The new fleet built has been going on exersizes recently. Offshore, sailors have discovered several huge squid, as well as large whales. While fishing and working up the ships, the naval squadron was attacked by several Kraken! Several ships were lost, as well as over two hundred sailors. One Kraken was killed, and dragged ashore for examination.

New towns continue to be built, as well as aquaducts and an excellent road system. In the far north of the realm, a great magical fortress is being built, featuring an enchanted tower that shimmers with the radiance of the moon. A large road raised on a causeway is being constructed from the sight of the fortress, traveling south. There are large encampments of soldiers and engineers all about, and great excavations are also being dug into the ground in the surrounding areas.
