Post Apocalypse Settings

I have seen mention of both Darwin's World and Broken Earth for Savage Worlds. I also want to mention a third Savage Worlds option: Apocalypse by Daring Entertainment

The Apocalypse Campaign Guide is a great Savage Worlds sourcebook on building your own Apocalypse. Throughout the book, there are references to various apocalypse books, movies, and TV shows. It covers
  1. The End of the World
    1. What is an apocalypse
    2. Characters typically found and the importance of focusing on the characters
  2. Tropes
    1. Stages of Apocalypse: Apocalypse Now, Post Apocalypse, The Generation Gap (Teen Drama, The Old Folks)
    2. Scope: Local, National, International, Global
  3. Storytelling an apocalypse
  4. New Setting Rules and equipment
    1. New Advantages and Disadvantages
    2. Crafting, Scavaging, Bartering
    3. Gear, Vehicles
    4. Communities
    5. Genetic Mutations and Cybernetics
  5. Apocalypse Genres
    1. More realistic apocalypses (the base apocalypse rules): this can be an apocalypse caused by EMP, nuclear weapons, or natural disaster.
    2. More realistic with the addition of science fiction elements such as mutations
    3. Science Fiction themed apocalypses: Alien Invasion, Kaiju, Uprising of the machines
    4. Supernatural themed apocalypses: Demonic Invasion, Vampire Apocalypse, Zombie Apocalypse
Threre is also a companion supplement called Apocalypse Unleashed. It includes six prebuilt apocalypse settings covering High Fantasy, Alternate History, Superhero Apocalypse (requires Super Powers Companion), Science Fiction, Supernatural. It does not include a pre-built Zombie Apocalypse and, for those wanting a pre-built zombie apocalypse setting, refers readers to the author's War of the Dead* and World of the Dead (set a few years after War of the Dead) for Savage Worlds
* War of the Dead is a non plot point adventure path comprised of four chapters. Originally, each chapter was comprised of a series of 13 individually sold adventures. However, each chapter was eventually collected into an individual print edition (available in print and pdf). There is also an additional supplement called Alternate Begnning that offers an alternative to Chapter 1 weeks 1-6.

This is pretty much the vide I am going for as well. On occasion we can dip into the body horror of mutation or the madness of gaining a power, but honestly, Mad Max was such a rip riot of fun, and our few sessions of Apocalypse Word led us to want more and more. Turns out we can have fun with cars, guns, and survival banditry for a really long time.
If someone made a tactical, turnbased PC game based on the whole Car Wars Compendium with complete build rules, multiplayer and descent campaigns, I would have to divorce my wife and go into early retirement!

Apocalypse Unleashed (a set of sample settings, it looks like): https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/206602/apocalypse-unleashed

Speaking of Mad Max and Car Wars, Thunder Road: Vendetta is coming soon. It's an RPG based on the Thunder Road board games; they put out a short quickstart adventure for Free RPG Day: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/pro...tta-rpg-zero-prep-adventure-gas-n-guns-a-gogo

Note that I haven't had time to go through it. The main book should be out soon-ish, I think; I got the PDF from the Kickstarter a few weeks ago.

And there's Devil's Run, for SWADE and 2d20: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/306207/devil-s-run-the-roleplaying-game-2d20-swade

The quick start for that is https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/208652/devil-s-run-rpg-quickstart-2d20-swade. There's a part 2 of that adventure, but it's separate products for SWADE or 2d20. My friend and I played an online demo game ran by one of the creators, Marc.
