I saw this was upcoming, and that it's in my backyard, and thought I'd ask who is interested:

Doubletree Hotel Crystal City
300 Army Navy Drive
Arlington, VA 22202-2891
January 27 - 30, 2005

I can even host a few (2) fellow ENWorlders should you need a place to stay for the weekend.

Rest of the release -
You voted for it so Winter Fantasy 2005 is coming to Crystal City!

Sending our web gnomes in a scurry of polling activity, we discovered that over 1,000 RPGA members voted, at nearly three-to-one in favor of Crystal City being the location for Winter Fantasy 2005.

Then came the hitch…there’s always a hitch.

The venue made a mistake. They really wanted us to come on Super Bowl weekend. The week they initially indicated was booked! More than almost anything, we wanted to avoid having yet another Winter Fantasy on Super Bowl weekend, so again we sent out our elven scouts to see if we could find a way to keep the general location and some semblance of the date.

They burned the midnight oil (they have low-light vision, after all) working hard to find a new spot. They left no cave unexplored, no dungeon undelved. And after much hardship, including some skirmishes with rival goblin corporate bidders, they came back with fantastic news: Crystal City will host Winter Fantasy on January 27th!

Yes on January 27th to 30th 2005 the Doubletree Hotel Crystal City (300 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA 22202-2891) will throw open its doors and play host to the RPGA roleplaying extravaganza that is Winter Fantasy! There, brave heroes will defy the harsh elements to relieve fiendish monsters and diabolic villains of their treasure hordes in the true tradition of our grand winter shindig.

If you are planning on staying at the Doubletree Crystal City, you can call 703-416-4100 for a reservation. Mention the code “WOC” to get the special Winter Fantasy room rate.

This year we have a truly exciting program that includes:

Eberron Mark of Heroes campaign kick off, featuring four chances to play in the new campaign setting, including its first delve event: Death in Darguun.
A full plate of Living Greyhawk play, including the Open Fiesta Slot on Saturday, and the new Living Greyhawk delve, Jungle of Lost Ships.
The Legacy of the Green Regent 10th-level kick, and Ruins of Karse delve event.
A full slate of Living Force, Living Death, Living Arcanis, Living Kingdoms of Kalamar, and Living Spycraft events, as well as the premier of a new d20 Modern campaign designed by the Game Mechanics.
In the coming weeks we will announce more information about the hotel, ticket purchase, food and beverages locales, plus the full roleplaying program.

Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or just a brave new adventurer there is something for everyone at Winter Fantasy.

Crystal City?

I don't see how I could pass an opportunity like that up.

Anyone started a "ENWorld pickup games" thread yet? ;)

Biddybiddybump

Less than two weeks, any more takers? I'm skeptical about the Warcraft, aka Eberron, games that will be going on, but I will be there to check it out.

Oh, and should I dig up some ENWorld delegate name badges, or not worry about it?

I am doubting I'll make it. Looking at the schedule, nothing is sounding so exciting that it makes me want to forego my regular game.

Between Origins and GenCon I don't really have the funds to travel to a third con. I tend to save up for the summer time ones! Have fun though! Wish I *could* be there.
