I want to insist that IMHO the original poster is not asking an opinion about avoiding metagaming: I really think that at this point he wanted to know only if the spell Wish could be used to grant a cross-class skill become a class skill and if this kind of use would be balanced or inappropriate.

That would be about right Li. I didn't realise this would result in some meta-gaming argument. All I wanted to know was if a wish could grant this without upsetting the balance and what the possible result might be,(such as granting it as a class skill or just giving a bonus). As far as the wording is concerned, I'm all up for doing it in character.........silly accent and all!
