Wish via a Spell-like ability, any limit on XP spent?

His point was that the issue at hand has less to do with Noble Djinn in particular than with Wish as a spell-like ability in general. Since precisely how a Noble Djinn creates its Wish effect is undefined, we can move the specifics to the Efreet, whose method is well-defined as a spell-like ability.

Well, we could do that, but this discussion is about Noble Djinn. See the very first post.

See the thread title. "Wish via a Spell-like ability, any limit on XP spent?"

Since they are remarkably similar creatures anyway, it is quite likely that any conclusions about the Efreeti should also apply to the Noble Djinn. Thus, we resolve the clear and move from there to the unclear.

Actually, it's quite clear that as as spell-like ability there is no technical limit on market value for a magic item created by the wish.

The real question is how that applies to a Noble Djinn, as the author of this thread asked. If you assume it is a spell-like ability, the answer is clear.

It's also pretty clear that it really should be considered a spell-like ability, but, technically, it's undefined.
