Wishlist for Videogames

First Post
This is a bit silly, and in the spirit of the holidays, so feel free to have fun with it. :)

Doesn't matter if you own any of the consoles, but what would you like to see for each of the big three, handhelds or PC? Could be games announced with no release date, could be a peripheral or simply a feature you want that is possible through software updates. Or really anything.

So, what's on your wishlist?

Wing Commander. Preferably for the PC. Always loved the games and series.

I'm looking forward to some online play on the Wii

I'd love for a Wii software update that let you use the Classic Controlers on Gamecube games (And why not, since you can use Gamecube controlers for VC games)

All for PC !!

StarCraft II :D
World of StarCraft but only if it is not just World of WarCraft in space
Neocron 3 done with state-of-the-art tech
any Shadowrun games that are cool and true to the background

Way more traditional RPGs for the PS3 (and the PSP), sooner rather than later. In particular, I'd love to see:

- the next Atelier game (anything from the series: Iris, Lily, something new, whatever)
- Suikoden VI+
- Breath of Fire VI+
- Final Fantasy Tactics 2 (!)
- Front Mission 6+
- the next Tales game(s)
- Kingdom Hearts 3+ (as long as they're better than crappy KH2)
- a Chrono Trigger/Cross sequel(s)!
- a full completion of the Xenogears story!

There's no where near enough traditional RPGs being released on these rather lame next-gen systems (which, thankfully, I bought all on discount). A bad generation so far, with the PS1 and PS2 eras being by far the best.

Other stuff:
- I'd like to see the DS remakes of Dragon Quest V and VI (the only ones we've never got) released in North America. (And soon!)
- On the PSP or DS (preferably PSP) a re-make of Front Mission 2.
- For the PS2's swan song, I'd like to see released in North America: Tales of Rebirth, Tales of Destiny 2, Code Age Commanders, and Front Mission 5.
- Guitar Hero 3 (and beyond) and Rock Band controllers that actually use the PS3's superior bluetooth technology.
- Finally: Xbox Live "Gold" should be free. I get it free on every other system (including the far superior PC), so I'm tired of M$'s ripoff "service".

Oy, well the list is so freakin' long. Let's see...

Released Games
Mass Effect
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Rock Band

If I'd seen this thread two days ago, Assassin's Creed and Mario Galaxy would be on there as well, but the gf and I did our exchange early since we'll both be with family for the holidays.

Upcoming Games
Smash Bros. Brawl
Too Human
GTA IV
Blood Bowl
Starcraft II
The Force Unleashed
Warhammer: Age of Reckoning

There are others that just aren't coming to mind right now. I will say that what I'm really hungry for, really craving, is a single-player RPG. Hence Mass Effect and Oblivion. Both heavy on character development, but one is driven by its immersing story and the other by the player's capacity for exploration. Both have excellent character creation mechanics too, which is a huge draw for me. So that's my little hot list at the moment.

I looked into Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon, both JRPGs for the XBox, but neither really caught my fancy. ES's story is very melodramatic and heavy-handed, and reviews of Blue Dragon didn't amaze me.

True, but I find myself really liking Folklore. Though it is moreso an action RPG.

For the PC
Duke Nukem Forever (yeah, yeah, I know I'm in fantasy land)
something like Kingdom Hearts
A single-player superhero RPG like City of Heroes/Villains

For my DS
An D&D-themed RPG like Baldur's Gate or Planescape:Torment
A platformer that doesn't require the reflexes of a hummingbird on speed
The Simpsons Game
Mario Kart DS

Heh. In one game magazine here, they continuously list it under upcoming titles to look out for (with release date unknown ;)).
