A new Star Control game would rock, as long as it is in the vein of SC2. Though I did enjoy some of the super-inane silliness of SC3.

I would love to see a console-tactics type game that was deep, complex, and moddable. The FFT series is okay but lacks complexity on the battlefield. I love the first Vandal Hearts a lot because the maps and goals were interesting, and not just "beat the enemies." It would ideally be moddable so that the onus of creating fresh content doesn't land squarely on the shoulders of the designers.

A new Castlevania game in the vein of Symphony of the Night. With today's consoles, there's so much that can be done, especially in a side-scroller. That said, I think Metroid Prime set the example that a 3D side-scroller can be done. Still, I'd rather have it 2D.

A real sequel to Chrono Trigger. I wasn't a huge fan of CC at all and I don't really consider it a sequel in anything but spirit.

I'd love to see DDM as an online game, but without the collectable aspect, so that you basically make the band you want and play other people online. Different play modes would be pretty cool though.

I'd also love to see Blizzard take the designs from WoW and make a single player RPG. Heck, a single player version of WoW would be pretty neat in and of itself.

For the Xbox 360

(fantasy)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic III
Final Fantasy XIII (yes, I know it's not happening, but I'd really like to get by with only one console from this generation)
Tecmo Bowl 360 (also not happening, in this case mostly due to EA's exclusive NFL license, but also would be great)

(real)
Mass Effect
A Lost Odyssey that lives up to the hype
Last Remnant to be really good

PS 2 -
Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix, released in the US, in English. I wants it, my precious! .....And who knows, maybe it'd make the game less of a breeze than normal KH2.

Kingdom Hearts 3; though when they do get around to it, they might put it on PS3 instead, which would force me to buy a PS3, dangit, but it just might be worth it if Final Fantasy games go to the PS3.

Final Fantasy Tactics 2!!!!

Anthologies or the like of older Final Fantasy Games, I-VI, redone in more decent graphics and with some CGI cutscenes thrown in for extra coolness, so that those of us who could never stand the old FFs with their mind-numbingly crude graphics could actually, finally, manage to play through them and enjoy them like everyone else. I was only able to play FF 6 without problems understanding the graphics on the screen, in the old PS1 Final Fantasy Anthology.

Any system:
More Metroid games.

Starcraft 2

World of Starcraft, hopefully less dull than WoW

Shadowrun games, preferably based on SR3 or earlier stuff, not the SR4 drek. Just not my cup o' tea, SR4.

I'd love that. Wasn't a huge fan of SC3.

Almost every GBA and DS Castlevania game has been done in this way. Some better than others.

Hell, I dreamt it last night, so why not?
Already been done. Not sure if it was DS, or GBA.

Anything with my name in the credits? *grin*

I kinda just want to play Halo 3. I haven't had the chance to get past the second stage yet on my friend's 360. I also want to play Half-Life 2 and Portal.

As for hypothetical games, I'm intrigued by Fable 2. If it has gameplay elements like the first one, but with an actual, y'know, plot, I'd be thrilled.

If you can, pick up a DS and play Dawn of Sorrow. I don't think you'll be disappointed. The prequel to that, Aria of Sorrow came out for the GBA maybe 3 years ago. If you can, find the game used, grab a GBA player and hook it up to your Gamecube (assuming you have one) and enjoy.

For my DS
An D&D-themed RPG like Baldur's Gate or Planescape:Torment

You know, I just loaded BGII back onto my computer... got a huge hankering for it. Love that game!
