We were playing the Shackled City adventure path from Dungeon.
So basically in a canned adventure like that, if you level up in the middle of the adventure (which has happened), there's no room for any downtime. So you'd have to use your higher slots for lower level spells until the end of the adventure, which is when you'd get the time necessary to learn and scribe spells (presumably). That'd be fun for the wizard player...

I wasn't aware that I had to be affected in order to have an opinion on it. How many times did you question my decisions in my campaign? The answer - via email after every session. Talk about hypocrisy.

None taken, even though I understand you recruited a mutual friend who you previously were not inclined to involve in the game the very same day I left. He was describing to me a fighter/wizard/spellsword/eldritch knight/a 3rd PrCl/a 4th PrCl. It was either for your game or someone elses. So yeah, good luck with that.
