D&D General Wizard Rap Battles

Came across this on Tumblr. Figured it might spark some discussion, here!

Wizard Duels would involve two people speaking fancy and probably difficult to pronounce words VERY QUICKLY to do verbal components... add in the hand gestures? I could see it.

Not the Wizards. Those are the intellectuals. They may speak quickly, but they’re not being impressive. All kinds of non-rappers know how to recite very quickly, but functionally without flash.

Rap battles involve showmanship.

IOW, look at your Bards & Sorcerers for rappers.

Rules of magic and spells are freeze, and the only strategy is trying to use any little imprecision and quirk in the actual rules. which is in fact quite the opposite of a rap battle that play with innovation and freedom.
