Wizards.com screwed up?

Has anyone noticed that since the archival, the message board upgrade, and the layoffs not only does Wizards.Com have a lot of broken links but the forums are grandma slow?

you will get a much better response to your comments around here with cleaner language.

the standard here is to try not to offend erics grandma. and she is evidently easily offended.

that said, i never have seen a time when the whole wizards site worked well at once

In the past, the WOTC boards have always been bumpy for a few days following an upgrade/change. If you ask somebody there, they'll probably claim that the "cache" is being refilled.

On other random days in the past, exceptional slowness seems to be an indication that somebody's currently monkeying with the server or tweaking some aspect of the message board software. (there's usually something new or different after a slow day, like more avatars or graemlins for example).

Give it a few more days and it should be back to normal (which means, occasionally slow anyway.... but not as much as now).

Well looks like Wizards has taken the boards down due to the persistant performance problems of the last week.
