Wizards Transitioning to a new community site 9/9

Given that it appears to have been a rush job, I wonder what the reasoning was. The previous forums were essentially purchased from an outside company, One-Site. I'm guessing the contract was up and they didn't renew, or something else went awry and they could no longer use the previous forums after a certain date, thus a quick migration to something clearly not ready for primetime.

I feel bad for WotC_Trevor.

Did you notice any pattern in the kinds of accounts that were terminated? (Posting habits, etc.)
The ones that I know were hit were those belonging to people from the subcommunity that developed in their Off-Topic forum. A lot of us had plenty of prior bans (I'm one of the only exceptions), but it still seems off. My inner conspiracy theorist noticed something odd here.

Over the years I've slowly stopped going to the WotC community for many varied reasons. This "transition" simply solidifies my decision. I do feel sorry for Trevor. He's a really good guy and doesn't deserve this.

MerricB; I tried to post you're link to the issues thread at wotc but it wouldn't post. There are a few around looking for help finding it there.

I had just started going back...now?

MerricB; I got it posted from a computer. Alhazred was appreciative, and I suspect that more were.
