[QUOTE="DeeEight, post: 3456714, member: 49601"] Latest Wizkids silliness going on... they're talking of eliminating the rules arbitrator position from one line's forum because apparently all he ever does is respond with quotes and references from the rules and FAQ's in response to questions, and that's usually days later. This is comical since all the RA's work in a similar way... taking days to come up with a response usually, and often going "I'll have to ask the designers" instead of actually giving a ruling like their job description says to do. Or they just ignore questions long enough for the players who asked to give up on waiting. Also for MW in particular, there's a change in formats for the game apparently taking place this year, where "solaris VII" is gonna be the new direction of the game instead of the story driven arc they'd been directing the game in for the past few years. Solaris VII is a world where gladiator combat goes on, for spectators, involving battlemechs. So the future of the game is apparently totally in mech on mech combat, and this year's world championship will be fought under Solaris rules, even though they're not actually releasing the rules until a few weeks before the worlds actually take place. This is not making many players very happy. In other not making players happy land, the canadian nationals this year are basically becoming meaningless to even attend because the format for the finals has been announced as being you swap your army with your opponent. That's right... whatever you design will get used against you. Can you see the nationals for magic or ANY other collectible game line being fought that way ? The reigning world champion (whose also canadian) as well as the second and third top players of the game in the world are against this event's rules, as are most everyone else who responded about it, and then one of the wizkids staff idiots locked the thread because people were....omg...daring to complain about the silly arsed rules. Instead of the top 16 players who make the finals (which given that attendance at the canadian nationals for MW was only 26 players last year, and its shrunken each year, likely means almost everybody this year) fighting it out with a strategy of building their BEST army... its gonna be a stratergy of building the most turkey army they can screw over their opponent with.
