Wolfgang Baur's Custom Adventure #3 voting open to the public

Now, the ghoul adventure doesn't appeal to me at all. Am I the only one who would vote for the Black Prince? I love fey, and evil shadow fey with clockwork soldiers just sounds so cool!

There's a reason "Kingdom of the Ghouls" is one of 'Dungeon's Best' - BRING ON THE GHOULS!

The others sound awesome too, but I'm just such a huge fan of the adventure that I can't pass on voting for it!

Wolfgang, have you approached Goodman Games or Necromancer or anyone about one day republishing these modules through them, 12 months or longer after the patrons first got them?

After the 2nd one got going there was a long discussion about availability of the first adventure. The final decision was that the projects are patrons only. The first adventure will be only available to patrons of that project, other projects will likely be available to patrons of future projects for an additional fee, up to a certain limit.

If you become a patron, do you get to see all the essays that he has written previously, or only essays that he has written while he has been developing the paticular project that you're a patron of?

I've seen the titles of a lot of the essays and I would consider becoming a patron just to have access to them. However I would like access to all of them, not just the ones relating to his third project.

As far as I know, you only get access to those published during that project. These aren't strictly controlled as to distribution, however. You can see the design essays for the first project (after editing) on the Wizards site. Note that the subjects aren't necessarily tied directly to the adventure. However, you get lots of additional informal discussions about the design decisions and problems in that adventure.

(Correction - on that thread Wolfgang states "The senior patrons get access to all the essays; standard patrons get the new ones.")

You know, I haven't really thought about print publication that seriously (too busy writing!). Part of me just wants to keep them to the very small club that funds them (less than 100 people). It's just nice to have a project that ISN'T available to everyone.

If Green Ronin or Goodman or Necromancer wanted to talk, I'd be happy to talk. As Glyfair points out, print publication is not in the cards for the first couple. And the third probably won't ship in paper either.

I bet Piratecat would like it, as well ;)

Oh, Piratecat gets a copy for free if Ghouls gets commissioned!

But first, I need to see whether the ghoul votes actually turn into donations to fund the writing.

Won't need one - I plan to donate!

Given how often "Baur" is misspelled as "Bauer," I wonder if you should try to write an adventure that occurs in real time. ;)

My vote is for Gates of Mal. Sounds the most epic, and least like what I'm used to. Plus I'm a sucker for planar adventures.

I hate to say it, but Mongoose has nixed the use of Mal. The sponsoring patron has withdrawn the suggestion (the major patrons from the prior project often suggest ideas for the next one --- as in this case).

My apologies to all the Gates supporters. OTOH, a narrower field isn't a bad thing. I"m debating whether to substitute a Cthulhoid/Far Realms adventure in its place.

The Black Prince of the shadow fey just sounds too sweeet!

I've also been looking for some higher level fey idea's and this one will hopefully fit the bill.

Steam and Brass was excellent, and although I didnt get involved in the 2nd adventure, each of these options sound really good.
