Waller
Legend
Does it matter whether it needed be set in whatever setting it was set? It was set in that setting. Nothing about it needed to be the way it was. It just was, because that’s the show the creators chose to make. It didn’t need to be called Wonderman. The Mona Lisa didn’t need to be a brunette. The Death Star didn’t need to be a sphere. The One Ring didn’t need to be a ring. Aslan didn’t need to be a lion. They just were. Necessity is not a requirement of creativity.Finished it about a day ago, and this in no way needed to be set in the MCU. This felt like an A24 series made by people who don't like or care for superheroes. It's an elitist film bro's wet dream.
That's not to say that it wasn't good, because it WAS, but it just as easily could have been a story set in the "real" world with no connection to the MCU.
