Just a reminder for Trevor fans: After Iron Man 3, he is in a Marvel One-Shot called All Hail the King. Though it is only 14 minutes, it is good, and it even has two mid-credits scenes. Then there is Shang-Chi, just in case folks did not know.

I have started that at least three times, including post-Wonder Man, but keep getting interrupted and have never finished it. Not because there was something wrong with it, just interrupted for I'm sure legitimate reasons and keep forgetting to go back to it. Thanks for the reminder.

Just saw the last episode. This is my favourite MCU series, and it isn't really close. The final costume reveal made perfect sense: he really is Wonder Man, and not because of his super powers, but because of the choices he is starting to make. I was so thankful that it remained a character story, and really a love story, to the very end. Not a romance, a love story. Bulding the story around Simon, such a deeply flawed character, finding his unlikely soulmate in another lost soul made his arc so satisfying for me.

Edit: I love how this was set up in the previous episode in the pivotal conversation with his ex: "I hope someday you find someone that you can trust. Someone you can really be yourself with."

That we only finally see him in control of his powers because he is motivated by love, and seeing the first use of flight coming as he embraces Trevor, tying their lives inextricably together even if as fugitives, made me well up. Simon has finally found his person. I found it deeply powerful to see male friendship portrayed in such a visually affirmative way.

When you look back at the best of Marvel, all of those great movies and shows are built around drilling into a deeply flawed character and forcing them to make choices that get right at the heart of who they are. Tony Stark's narcissisism, Steve Roger's martyr complex, Peter Quill's self-blame, Peter Parker's insecurity, now Simon William's isolation. That's the secret sauce to a great superhero show: find the flawed person (because we're all flawed people) and give them no place to run. It's why Tony Stark's final choice is the perfect way for that character to go out, and it's why Simon's final choice in this series hits so hard.

It's a cliche to state that great stories are always human stories, but it's true. All the special effects in the world can't save a story that has no heart. This series is ALL heart. I just adore it.

@Clint_L - what's funny is that both of my favorite Marvel Media in the MCU are about male friendship, and sacrifice in relation to maintaining that friendship through tough times. Winter Soldier and Wonder Man.

Just finished watching it with my son, and we agreed this was one of the best, if not the best, marvel series produced.

There were several hilarious scenes (the scene inside the house where they were making the candies had us rolling) and some heartfelt moments too. I hope this isn’t the last we’ve seen those two.
