Thanks for this helpful post! Now I know that I've been playing D&D wrong all these years, and also that Robin Laws and Luke Crane were mistaken when they labelled their games "RPGs".

Uh, I didn't say one word about how you play your game, or any other game. I said D&D isn't a storygame. That doesn't mean you can't play it as a storygame at your table (though based on what you've said before, that does not seem to be the case).

I am not sure where the hostility is coming from, but please cease. My saying D&D isn't a storygame and that there are many storygames out there is not an offensive comment, and does not warrant that level of snark in response.
