Woodland Stride + Run action

Kai Lord

Hero
A human with a speed of 30' moves through heavy undergrowth at 15' per round, and cannot run (PHB p.163).

A 7th level Human Ranger moves through undergrowth without penalty (30'). The run action allows a character to quadruple his movement per round, but not across difficult terrain. To a Ranger with Woodland Stride, "difficult terrain" is treated as clear terrain for the purpose of determining movement rate per round.

Does this mean that a Ranger can sprint through the woods at 120' per round compared to the 15' of other humans?

Yep, indeed it does.

Ranger 7+ with Shot on the Run and Improved Precise Shot is just a nightmare to deal with in an overgrown area.
