Eberron's novels have been fun enough, and even had major stuff, without going the "world controlling/ world altering" way that DL &FR have.DL is the worse for it though, IMO, because the authors sometimes seem to lack a fundamental understanding of the actual setting. Conclave of Wizards was horrible, IMO, and the Solamnic Rising series seems to have been written for FR or something and had the name changed to DLness.Then, the DL gamebooks had to follow these things, and somehow justify that Solamnic Rising started with an entirely different setting than had existed in the previous novels!FR, they have big wars and such, but they at least generally fit into the scope of the world.</blockquote>
