Does anyone know of a 'good' (and affordable, aka cheap) cartography program that would help in making country/world maps?
Nothing too fancy, I was thinking along the lines of the old black and white maps that were in the OD&D sets (I think they were in the expert/companion rules) that were based off of a hex map...some symbols (enough to show forest, plain, mountains)?
The hex would help in movement (which is something that I struggle with).
Does anyone have very basic rules that they govern movement by in terms of standard travel? (not talking combat but in travelling from a town to a city, or a set of mountains, etc?) for either wagon, horse, or march?
Thanks...I have a military campaign coming up and the movement (and map cartography program) would be huge....
