World War Two espionage/commandos

I can think of one more WW II espionage movie. There was Eye of the Needle with Donald Sutherland. It was about a German spy in England. He starts getting caught and kills people to cover his tracks. Get involved with a woman too. It's been a while since I've seen it, but it might fit your bill.

Netflix is disappointing me today... Maybe the older ones just aren't on dvd yet. Well, the Cagney movie and the two Follett stories should give me something to do next weekend (I'll have to look at getting a Follett novel, too - seems like he writes a lot of WWII stories).

merci, tout le monde ...et Vive le Resistance!

I'm surprised you have Force 10, but you're missing one of the two pillars of WWII espionage movies, IMO, the Guns of Navaronne, starring the incomparable Gregory Peck.

Of course, you do already have Where Eagles Dare, so that's a good sign. Apparently that either just came, or is about to come, out on DVD.

I'd forgotten that one -- it's a great one, too, also a Ken Follet novel.
