Just a fun idea I cooked up, and I thought others might find amusing. Cult activities should include anything your players would find entertaining.
Cult of the Dominant Master
Rejecting all existing dogma and evidence, this cult believes that all of reality is nothing but an illusion created by an all powerful being for his friends. People exist for nothing more than their entertainment, and it is imperative that people act more entertaining! Should the Dominant Master's friends ever become bored, all will cease to exist, replaced by another, more entertaining illusion.
They also believe that time is flexible, rather than universal. It periodically stops, leaving everything completely frozen in stasis, while at other times days, weeks, or even months can compress into only a few hours. Sometimes time even slows to a crawl, where a minute might take an hour to resolve. Additionally, time remains frozen for most of the world, only to speed up to "current time" for unknown reasons. They also claim in the existence of "the retcon," where time goes backwards, changing the past. The Dominant Master is so powerful, that none are aware of any discrepancies.
Cultists spend their days attempting to be as entertaining as possible, while also proselytizing their belief. Most consider them insane, but basically harmless. Organized religions consider them highly dangerous, however, and often attempt to drive them out of their community.
