If the price is $100 US, I dread to think of what they will charge for it here in Australia.

In Finland it's listed at 100 €, which comes to around $120. A bit steep, even though I'd really like to own it.

I'm just wondering how many people will pay it, or pay for the whole thing. Might make a good charity event.

:Edited for bad spelling ;)

Without some serious fundraising it's not even going to feature on my wishlist of RPG purchases. Buying this will force me to stop looking at RPG for several months or be kicked out of the house by my girlfriend

Amazon it! It will cost around $150 with postage. If you wait for it to be realeased here mate, you'll be paying closer to $200...

EDIT: I just had a quick check... Amazon have it for $67.97 with discount... add in shipping and convert... you will be looking at around $120 Au...

I'm wondering how it'll turn out, I wasn't very impressed with the sample encounters that were given in the WLD thread. I hope to see some in-depth reviews soon.
Given WLD's size, I imagine that a 'really in-depth review' would turn out ot be the 'World's Largest Review'.

In Australia maybe, but here in Europe: WLD + discount + share-the-love = 70$ (so 62 euros).

???

Talking in Aus dollars for Jakar's sake... downunder we normally pay somewhere between x1.8 to x2... so a product that would cost US$100, would retail here for between AU$180 and AU$200. Given a current exchange rate of 0.70 cents in the dollar, that would be like paying US$125 - US$140...

Cool. I will look into that.

Make no mistake - the WLD is a beast. But it's also a beast with a minimum of 2 years' worth of gaming (if you follow the standard session and xp guidelines from the DMG) packed in.

Not to cast a shadow on WLD but: I wonder why people think that's a good thing. I find that spenind that long at one activity gets people bored. I've been regaled with tales of groups that never finished RttToEE because it drug on too long.

That's part of the reason that my first question to the guy at the AEG booth was: Can you tear it apart? Break it down? Use it as a setting vice "just a dungeon"?

If it's really really good, I'd use it as a handbook for dungeon encounters. There's no way I'd have the stamina to run a two year dungeon. :) What's the starting and finishing levels?

100 clams. Dizzam!
