He wouldn't claim to be the first either. d20s were in use before D&D.

Although, that is really cool. Are the symbols on there numbers or are they representative of soemthing else?

I'm not sure what those symbols are supposed to be, but they're NOT roman numerals.

Yup, not enough "X's", "I's" and "V's" to be roman numerals. Possibly some sort of celtic thingy-mabobbas.

Yeah, they aren't Roman numerals. They may be letters, or maybe Greek script? Or they may just be symbols, like in the old Dragon Dice game.
