Pedron's day gets interesting There was no mistaking it this time. The woman had waved her hand and the light had vanished. It had to be the One Power. "You're--" he cuts himself short. You do not just accuse a woman of being Aes Sedai, even though she has to be. He licks his lips. "I don't think the Trollocs hurt anyone, but the bouncer put a good dent in that fellow's skull." He points to the man in white. As the two men start running after the fleeing beasts, Pedron makes a quick decision: Aes Sedai or Trollocs? All in all, the stories about Trollocs are a lot less frightening. He sheaths one of his knives, keeping the other in hand but concealed in the cloak he was wearing to ward off the chill of the innyard. Then he follows the Borderlander before the Aes Sedai can say anything more to him. While it's impossible to sneak at a full run, as soon as the man slows down, Pedron slows down as well and does his best to stay out of sight. He has no wish to be spotted by the Trollocs, or by the soldier if he can avoid it. The brief encounter's about as much as he wants for one night. He gives some thought to following for a little ways, then breaking off and heading back to the inn. Two things stop him. First, he doesn't want to run into the Aes Sedai again, especially not if he has to lie about "losing" the other men in the chase. Second, there's something both calming and exhilarating at doing what he does best, slipping into the background, going unnoticed. As long as he plays to his strengths, all should be well.
