Once again Ashrem found himself staring out the dust stained window of his room. He grimaced as he watched the crowds milling about below. So many people.....any one of them could be dangerous. A bloody darkfriend even. He looked to the west. Still light left, too early to head back to the alley. I could at least get some exercise.. With that, he took off his coat and black silk shirt and pulled his hair back into a ponytail. Looking through his belongings, he found a thin white shirt and took a minute to lace it up. Cotton was much better for sweating. He grabbed his sword on the way out and bounded down the steps. He gave the common room a once over and headed out to the yard to look for Yuri. Maybe I can learn something from all this... Making his way through the kitchen, he lifted an apple from a nearby basket and bit into it with a satisfying crunch. Sword in one hand, apple in the other, he opened the back door and headed out. For a time he watched quietly, hoping to learn a bit as a spectator. He soon finished his snack and called out to the borderlander. "Master Yuri, I’ve a favor to ask of you. Would you mind practicing with me?" He looked around for some sticks or something that would do as practice swords. "Not many duels to be fought in Andor. I fear I may be becoming rusty,” he said with a sly grin. "It's not everyday I have the opportunity to spar with a borderlander, maybe I can pick up a thing or two."
