WotC and Buy.com

I read somewhere in the forum here that someone had claimed that Scott Rouse from WotC contacted Buy.com and got them to stop shipping any orders for the D&D 4e books before June 6. Is this correct and if so, can someone please link to where this was posted by Mr. Rouse? I might have to cancel my order now.

Why do you believe that buy.com would ship your order early? Even if they did ship some orders to early, this was most likely only a single warehouse screwing it and not a general thing.

I guess buy.com would stop such an error on it's own without needing WotC to tell them so.

Having shipped a few orders too early != shipping every order too early

Also you should probably note that buy.com doesn't allow pre-orders to be canceled, at least according to the website. You may not be able to cancel your order at this point.

Wow, that's just...wow.

I also heard that Scott Rouse hired Chuck Norris to roundhouse kick the responsible parties into the Sun, but Chuck said he'd actually do it for free.

But if Chuck Norris kills Buy.com and takes their stuff, there won't be any 4E books for all the good little children :(

*sighs, refreshes his amazon profile for the 4th time today*
I don't know if it's still the policy, but for the last year or more of 3.5 books, Amazon didn't ship until about 10 days after the street release.
