Yeah, they seem to be all about the DMG2 feedback, here, which is smart. A series of yearly DMGs is new to the game conceptually, so it might take a little while to find what works.
In the final blurb, I talked a bit about how I don't think the DMG is the right place for traps, templates, companion characters, etc., that a book more like a Monster Manual/Tome of Encounters/Adventure Log is the place where they should go, alongside the things I will use with them.
I generally though the DMG2 was excellent, I only regret that it further entrenched the Skill Challenge, which needs to be replaced rather than revised, IMO. All the advice in the world to "add variety" doesn't help when the basic mechanics are the equivalent of "stay in one place and swing a sword until you hit."
I also regret that none of it shows up in the Compendium/DDI, which is the first place I go to when designing an adventure, but I forgot to mention that. Because of that oversight, I forget what's in the book half the time. Thanks to the survey for reminding me of some awesome stuff!
