WotC Boards back up

I'm just fearing the flood of wotc board junkies to the other sites around the net when hasbro decides it is no longer worth it to pay the employees and staff responsible for hosting their boards and chat.

Assuming that ever happened, I don't think it would be that much of a problem. The D&D users of WotC boards are actually quite few and far between as far as I can tell - most of them are Pokemon and MtG people. It's still a large number, but not the 30,000-odd registered users they have.

FYI, the boards were NOT down for the announcement. It was an upgrade that had been in the planning for some time.

Sometimes the timing of it doesn't work out.

Yes, it was an unfortunate coincidence. However, as some may recall, something similar happened during the first of the big layoffs some time ago, back around the time Monte Cook left (voluntarily) from WotC. So it may be natural for some to assume that WotC would take down the boards during such announcements.
