I refuse to pay for any electronic book.

That's a shame. Some of the most exciting stuff out there is available in PDF. At least in my opinion. It's also a great way to get the money more directly to the game designer.

Including freebies:

RPGNow: 186
DriveThru: 8 (all free, no DRM)
WOTC: ~80 (not counting ESD's)

I've cut back spending on game books for a couple years now (too expensive for too little use). Pdf files, OTOH, tend to be inexpensive and more easily used in my games.

I did a quick count and came up with 68 on my HD for d20. Including those that are just on CDs, I would guess around 90.

My pdf collection is far larger than my print collection. I started to count them up, but stopped at 30, and that was just in the base D&D folder on my harddrive. That's just settings and rules. There are MANY more in my D&D/Monsters, D&D/Races, D20 Modern, and Mutants & Masterminds folders. I could estimate it around 250-300 and may still be undershooting a little.

What can I say, I love RPGNow!

That is a shame becasue I can name a few electronic books that are still better then anything out in print.

I'm in agreement. I would suggest:

Any number of items from Ronin Arts
Legends of Avadnu from Inner Circle Games
Potent Portals from Creative Mountian Games (little fluff, great crunch)
Swarm of Stirges from Behemoth3
Thee Compleat Librum Ov Gar'Udok's Necromantic Artes from Ambient/EnPublishing

These all excellent products, unavailable in print to the best of my knowledge.

Oh, and I must own 50-60 pdfs. Many of them are quite small and focused, but that's more or less what I wanted.

I would've voted for the nonexistent '31+' :)

I made a provision for that when the poll didn't set up correctly.

Not sure why the final choice of "31 or more" didn't show up, but just use the "21 - 30" choice if you have more and feel free to elaborate, please.

Fortunately, having not voted the first time does not preclude you from your board-given right to vote now! :D

I own like 8-10 pay PDF's and countless freebies

I generally don't buy all that many unless they are very cheap

Well, according to my history at RPGNow.com I have downloaded 145 products costing a grand total of $304.66 since 2002. Of those some 35-40 have been freebies. Apart from that I have purchased about ten PDFs from other sources.

My first PDF was "Fool's Errand" for Iron Kingdoms and my second one was "Whispering Woodwind" by CMG.

Just by looking at the size of the folders where I keep my PDFs on my computer, I think a button or sticker saying "pwned by CMG & Ronin Arts" would be in order for me. :)

Cheers,
Meadred
