We will fully support version 3.5 through June, but come July we will no longer answer questions about 3.5 material. We will still have some information posted in this knoweldge base, but our Customer Service department will not answer specific questions about version 3.5.
Once again, a great customer service move by WotC. :/

A company that continues to support legacy products helps inspire confidence in customers purchasing their products, which I will not do anymore due to a variety of reasons.

Oh please. It makes no sense for WotC to waste resources supporting an older version of a game they are no longer selling.

Surprise me with an actual example of a rpg company that actively supports an older version of one of their games.

Considering some of the answers I have read from customer service I don't think that this is that big a deal. You are more likely to get the correct answer to your questionby asking in the EN World Rules Forum.

Of course, if you really need an "official" answer then this is bad news for you.

Jeez, even Microsoft gives you a couple years.

There are plenty of people who cannot usually upgrade to the latest version of Windows, typically due to hardware constraints.

There is no such limitation on D&D books.

Yeah, Microsoft products actually need tech support from time to time, D&D pretty much doesn't. If they take down the FAQ/errata that would be annoying, but I don't see the problem with this, especially since most people playing 3.x will be playing heavily house ruled versions or pathfinder anyway.

All FLGS and online stores will cease selling 3.5 after June? I had not heard that.
