WotC forums down?

Is anyone else having trouble accessing the WotC forums this evening? I've been unable to get through to them since I came home at 5:30pm this evening (GMT). There's not even their usual "Forums Down for Maintenance" message.

Crazy wind & rain has ravaged the Puget Sound. Many areas are without power. Likely, that has also affected the Paizo and WotC servers.

WotC's boards are back up now. I would imagine it was the storm. My friends out in Washington (about a half-hour north of Seattle) have been without power and terrestrial phone since last night, and they say there's trees down *everywhere*. 70mph winds, and thunderstorms (both pretty rare up there). Ugly.

Hello from Wind Ravaged Seattle,

The Paizo offices were indeed closed today as we had no power or phones. They were still down as of this afternoon, when I got tired of sitting in the dark and went home. I also stopped by Wotc this morning and saw that they too had no power, although that may have changed by now.

Fortunately, where I live, does have power, although my cable does not work, meaning I have missed Battlestar Galactica... which makes me sad. But I guess that is better than trying to figure out how to stay warm.. or waiting in crazy gas lines.

Ugg...

Let me verify what Sir Bulmahn has reported; there were about a million folks here in the Northwest without power due to a Hard-Core windstorm. Among them are the WotC and the Paizo offices. Unfortunately for me, my power went away at 1:00 AM on Thursday night, but it was back in time for my TiVo to tape Battlestar Galactica for me, so if you're reading this, Jason, Ha Ha!

Ahem. Anyway, the power'll hopefully be back soon at Paizo elsewhere up here. At which point I would think the websites will be along soon after.

aha! so you figured being as far away from florida in the US as possible would save you from serious storms coming in off the ocean! ;)
