I find it hard to believe that this would be the first post on this here, but check out the open call on the WoTC home page.

It isn't, I think news of the search appeared about a week ago. However I think this is the first mention of it on the official WotC site, thanks for the heads up.

Oni's got the right of it. I almost posted it to the news page today, but it had been posted about a week ago — actually, what's on the WotC site is pretty much identical to the release they sent over here — I think it's kind of odd that it took them so long to get a web page up on it, but hey...no beef. If you scroll back a few days in here (or maybe check the sci-fi/fantasy/books/movies forum — can't think of its proper name at the moment), you should find at least one thread on it. I seem to recall there being one, at least...
