I know the price is pretty high for some people, but I was wondering if anyone has purchased any of them, and could tell me how the DRM works for their files?

Is copy/past dissabled? (or if limited, how much?) I copy/past a lot when writing adventures, especially stat blocks.

Depends on the pdf. For most of them you can copy&paste unlimited, but with at least Fiend Folio, I couldn't copy&paste anything.....

Here's a break down of the DRM (if I find anything different, I'll edit)

Printing: Allowed
Changing the Document: Not Allowed
Document Assembly: Not Allowed
Content Copying or Extraction: Allowed (except for Fiend Folio)
Content Extraction for Accessiblity: Allowed
Commenting: Allowed
Filling of form fields: Not Allowed
Signing: Not Allowed
Creation of Template Pages: Not Allowed

It's a lot of money for what little you can get scribble. Just stick with being a pirate. Arrrghgh! *is kidding* At least about the pirate stuff.

I think it's all DTR PDFs, not just WotC. However at this point only WotC PDFs are DTR.

Yeah... they are pretty expensive next to the rest of the PDFs... but I'm considering a couple. (BOVD)

My hardbound sits on the shelf mainlky, because I do most of the game prep at work, or away from home, and can't use the books... So I use a lot of PDF and SRD stuff...

Sooo the extra money is payment for ability to actually use it and ease of use... (cut and paste...)

What ever works for you man. Even though I too do prep work away from home, I still manage to keep enough ideas in my head that I a) outline what I want and then b) come home and do the majority of the work there.

Yeah... unfortunately I have absolutely 0 time to work on my game at home anymore.

The majority of my game (adventures, and books used in game) is stored on a 1 gig flash drive in my pocket. Aside for the stuff I print out for when the game is in session.
