Not sure yet. They are interesting to listen to, but thru 29 minutes, no cool preview yet!

The conversations sound like some I've had with my friends. It was lengthy on dungeon tiles, which is a great product. Nice plug for Steel Squire (or however they spell their name). Gen con talk at beginning I was distracted while listening, so no comment.

They also plug the great initiative tracker from openmindgames, which I really, really like. If you went to Gen Con, you saw people from WotC go get a bunch from them and use them in running their Dragon combat/demo games. I also bought this product. They talk about how the game has changed, how they play...Into Fan Film contest discussion, which I had no interest in.

Ian Richards on D&D game day - (Ian is a great guy, met him at Gen con). Short but sweet. No scoops, too bad, if you listen for 42 minutes you should get something about upcoming products.

Overall I give it a B, especially if you are doing other things at the same time.

My biggest problem is the audio format. Not every mp3 player can play the m4a format. This doesn't bode well in my book. IMO, it indicates that the powers behind this podcast are not "in the know." If they had bothered to do some research into the popular rpg podcasts, they would have seen that mp3 is the dominant format. They were at the podcast seminar at GenCon, so they had every opportunity. I've not had the chance to listen to it yet, so I can't comment on the subject matter.

I'll correct myself a bit...they do have an mp3 version. Its not in the rss feed, so it must be downloaded manually. I've listened to a few minutes of it so far. Not bad....of course EVERY gaming podcast has been doing their own GenCon review so its getting more than a bit redundant. I look forward to have the inside the industry takes on different books and such. Of course, I don't ever expect to hear a negative view on ANY product. The paint on a set of minis could be flaking off and causing millions of cancer related deaths, and I bet I would hear how lovely the sculpts are. :)

Not bad, IMO. I think they'll "um" and "uh" less as they get used to what they're doing. That's one of the toughest things to avoid until you actually hear yourself for the first time. They definitely have a wealth of material they'll be able to bring to the show each month and WotC would be foolish to not utilize a podcast as a bully pulpit for their marketing. They should also utilize as many designers and other employees as guests to keep it fresh.

Same here. iTunes says it is not a valid Podcast URL.
Ditto.

I thought it was interesting, though I have no idea why the volume on the podcast was so low--even though I have iTunes normalize volumes I still had to turn my speakers up a lot.

I bought the initiative tracker they talk about from Open Mind Games, so that was a nice product to hear about.
