So, even if the material available online is the same as what was in the print magazines, and there are indications that it will be (mentions of Demonomicon articles), the online version is in no way related to the print version?

This is kinda like saying ice and water are the same thing...elemetal wise, yeah...but try drinking the ice or chewing on the water...it just ain't the same.

Oh, hey, I'm not saying that they're not different. But, "different" is a far cry from "destroyed" or "ending" or any of the other rather final words being used about Dungeon and Dragon.

I'm almost tempted to ask what products?

Tiles are useful, very useful, but they don't say D&D. They're generic fantasy.

Some of the adventures have potential, but if you're in the game for the crunch...

The Fantastic Locations, once agian, great maps, but great for any fantasy adventure.

Not a whole lot of 'new' products out there afais.

Cheers!

I get the Elder Evils mixed up with the other one.

Take out the adventures tiles and Eberron Sourcebooks (which does provide a healthy list of items), and you ain't left with many... long lasting books that aren't compendiums (i.e. new game material)

Given I like adventures, I'm not unhappy about the line, but I do agree there's a paucity of new rules material. I'd really like to see a Forest terrain book. :)

MIC is more new stuff than old, given revisions and other stuff in there. It's been one of the biggest good things for a long while.

Cheers!

They may use the same content in the (IMO rubbish) online system they're setting up to replace the D&D magazines. They may also try to apply the names of the magazines to the online system. However, that doesn't change the fact that the magazines were canceled.

Remember: Pay website != magazine!
