WotC Settings Search update

Still no announcement, but Ed Stark posted a clarification in this thread on the WotC boards.

Just so you know ... the people who do hear back that they're setting submissions are moving on to the next stage will almost certainly be asked not to say anything, as Wizards wants to continue the "blind process." The reviewers don't want to know whose submissions they're reading, so, hopefully, you won't see anyone on these boards declaring they've moved on in the process.

I'm expecting there to be a press release when all the people whose submissions where accepted have been contacted, declaring the first review stage over. I'll ask around and see how that's going.

I thought that this might be the case, given the "blind" process emphasis.

Yet by collecting the names of the 10,000 people who said they had sent theirs in, and subtracting the names of the 9,990 people who will post after the press release that they didn't advance, we'll clearly be able to know who is still in the running!

Well, there are 3 days (other than today) remaining. 2 of those (other than today) are during the week.

I hope there will be an announcement sometime before/on friday.

Lets hope that they dont notify the wrong individuals... with the wrong message... (sending out 10k acceptance letters, instead of 10k thanku letters.)

So, since we will be requested not to announce ourselves. What about an anonymous account here indicating that we have enworlders in the next round?

That way no previous posts are associated with the entrant.

Alternatively, we could create a thread where we post our 1 pagers. Whoever doesnt post (and someone will have alot of work to back-check forums... has gone through to the next round).

Either that, or they dont want them posted for _obvious_ reasons.

Reality Break:

The winners have already been contacted. That is to say at least they've been sent something in the mail. Contacting folks takes a while, especially if you use snail mail. My guess is that those werew probably sent out LAST week.
