I suspect that you are the exception and not the rule. I for one do not own every WotC product. I do own a few 3rd party products. If those 3rd party products did not exist, I *may* have spent that money on a WotC product.

Put me down on the other side. The only time I specifically didn't buy a WOTC product because an existing D20 product "got there firstest with the mostest" was the Book of Challenges vs. Traps&Treachery -- and I'm biased, since I was a heavy contributor to T&T.

Of course, I don't buy adventures or campaign settings, usually, just books-o-crunchy-bits.

With a few exceptions, I've liked the WOTC products that I have; this is mostly D&D materials, but it includes the CoC rulebook and the Revised SW rulebook. For the D20 products, it's much more hit-and-miss.

Well WotC might not have the setting I like, but certain things like the Epic Level Handbook and Deities and Demi-gods are things I do like. I have a few of the splat books. (I passed on S&F and So&Sil) but mainly for modules and sourcebooks, I tend towards d20. I still try to get Dragon...but under new management I may not since I don't know if I can swallow the upgraded cost. That said, WotC is probably just scared cause they have this loony running around their precious boards screaming "Scarred Lands RULE!!" And I got a nice following too! ;)

Not to hijack the thread, but...

I thought it was just Dungeon that was getting the price bump! If it's Dragon too, I'm glad I just resubscribed recently, and still have most of the run before I have to deal with it.
