WotC site

I've had similar issues in the past with their website - I'll be logged in to my DDI subscription, but not able to access any DDI content, or logged out when I try to access DDI content, or told I'm logged out - when I log in, it STILL tells me I'm logged out.

I panicked the first time or two it happened. Since then, I've just waited until later in the day and tried again and been fine.

WotC's got a REALLY wonky CMS going on. For what we pay for DDI access, I expect a better level of service uptime on their site. As a web developer, it frustrates me to no end. =/

I have never had a bad thing to say about DDI until today. I was very frustrated that the customer service couldn't actually help me in the area that the phone menu said they could. They were very upfront and honest about this fact though.

Don't get me wrong - over all, they provide me with a very excellent product and online service. I just get annoyed when I pay for an online service, and encounter the kinds of problems I've had with them.

Frankly, being in the business of having written similar code to what I assume WotC is using on the DDI side of things, you'd think I'd be more sympathetic to the plight of their developers. Oddly enough, I'm not. ;)

lol, yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes its fun to be the customer and just not want to have to care if they are having a bad authz day... ;)

Overall DDI isn't bad. I think WotC still has a pretty good amount of stuff to learn about web presence overall and they're a little green, but they do seem to try pretty hard. I could certainly point out places that are 100x worse and I figure they'll eventually polish all their stuff to a fine spiffiness. I doubt they are really running on a huge budget either. Big web startups and Fortune 500's can throw a mint at that kind of stuff (and still often do it badly).
