WotC_Dave: You will be able to make monsters...weaker...

Scott even makes the point that you SHOULD use it rarely so....well, what's the complaint again? :) Again, so long as 'Dont use it often' is bolded, I'm not sure what the problem with it as an option, is.

I agree 100% - In that spirit, please make dragons a formidable foe, even the least of them. No more CR3 and 4 dragons, I think that is one of the few things you guys got wrong in 3.5.
Beacuse that never happened before 3e...

Of course it did, but asking them to change something based on how rules were in 2e does seem a tad silly to me :) .. Even though you found a picture from the 2e PHB, illustrating a possible issue, I still maintain that it is an issue (to me) that has increased in 3e.

Galen Bradwarden!!!!

Yeah and one of those little ones caught him by surprise and almost KILLED him too.

I love that movie. In my head Vermithrax is the template for Red Dragons in my games.

If it works, I think it'll be a very good improvement. In 3e I wanted to run encounters against archdevils and demon lords when the player characters were not above 15th level, but it was quite hard to scale everything down.
