Would/Do You Wear A D&D T-shirt In Public?

I don't currently own any D&D shirts. But I have and I wore them in public. I also wore a shirt(s) I had made for a gaming group I ran, "Demi-gods Inc". :)

I own and Orc&Pie shirt that I mostly wear to gaming events (I've worn it to every NC Game Day I think) but that's primarily to preserve the shirt. That thin, white lettering is starting to show some cracks even with the limited wear.

For GenCon I'm making a couple shirts myself including a "Party Leader" shirt (anybody else remember that thread?). I'll probably wear those rather frequently.

I have to wear a shirt and tie for my work so wearing a D&D t-shirt for that is out. But I don't shy away from discussing that I'm a gamer if the topic comes up. A couple days ago I was doing a job and a lady that I work with occasionally asked me what I had lined up for the following week and this led to a discussion of GenCon. She didn't seem put off by me being a gamer but I also didn't try and rattle off the stats of my 12th level Paladin either.

I wouldn't have a problem wearing one, I just don't own any. All my t-shirts are either band related (helloooooo Kraftwerk 2004 tour shirt!) or Napoleon Dynamite related (flippin' sweet!).

I think the black D&D Tees are HIDEOUS, and would never wear one in public. We have a couple from when my wife worked at the WotC retail stores, and they might have been worn...once? And even then just when working far from the public eye.

As for a D&D *themed* t-shirt (that wasn't black) - I'd be all over that. I'd love a shirt that said "NPC" or something.

I wear my black 30th anniversary D&D t-shirt from last year's GenCon (the one with the beholder drinking a beer on the back) pretty much anywhere that I'd wear any other t-shirt. It's a classy looking t-shirt, so yeah, I'm proud to wear it.

However, I also have a "I just rolled a 20, so you bitches can suck it" t-shirt. While this t-shirt gives me no end of personal entertainment and enjoyment, the profanity on it limits how often I can wear it in public.

I agree most gamer t-shirts are not very good quality. I do like these from NerdNYC though. They're very good quality and stylish. And that's why we decided to carry them at Indie Press Revolution (IPR).

I am also tempted to get one of these Kingdom of Loathing t-shirts (sword & martini).

If I find a nice vintage D&D t-shirt, I'd be proud to wear it. I think it'd be pretty cool in that retro kind of way.

But no, I don't think I'd wear most of the stuff out on the market right now.

Back in the early 80's, I had a local screen-printing shop make me a t-shirt that read CHAOTIC EVIL. Wore it to junior high. Ah, the geeky memories!

Nowadays I don't wear t-shirts (any style) much in public.

I like the D&D tees that are a little more inconspicuous and that only other D&D gamers would get. I wear my "Jesus Saves - The Rest of You Take Damage" and "Order of the Stick" t-shirt out in public - usually on the weekends/after work.
