Maybe you could pitch some of the larger companies on the idea for running new modules at conventions though.

I don't think I'd buy one, period (unless it was really absurdly cheap) not because of the money, but because of the difficulties involved in storing and transporting this kind of stuff. My miniature cases weigh around 15 pounds as it is.

What I would like to see is a module with well-made counters for NPCs and creatures, visual aids (NPC portraits, drawings of places of interest, pictures of magical items, handouts, etc.) and full-color maps of key locations large enough that you could, for example, just spread them out on the table to play on.

At that kind of price -- which would be justified given the amount of work involved, assuming it was well done -- I could only seeing buying something like this if it was tied to the Best. Module. Ever. In other words, something I could happily run time and time again for different people (and of course borrow parts from for other minis-oriented games).

Any chance you'll be doing The Crypt of Istaris?

Probably not, as I buy few modules, and the extras would probably be to specific for the price you'd need to charge.

Exactly what he said- I'd much rather have a bunch of supplementary materials (including custom counters) than the Hirst or Master Maze pieces.

I would pay in the $40 to $60 range, maybe and it sounds like you could not put together miniatures and dungeon together for that. However...

I would pay about $40(US) for a module that included a 1' scale map of the dungeon, in sections so each piece can be laid down as needed(think something like MK dungeon tiles, but a bit larger). with secret doors etc not shown, so that an additional tile can be laid down when they are discovered. Match this with a complete set of thick cardboard token with monster on one side, usefull DM info on the other(name, room appearing, hp) one for each monster in the dungeon(so I don't need to reuse them, if the tribe has 31 orcs, I want 31 orcs. Yes that would be importaint to me for this sort of thing. My PC's could hang on to the tokens for bragging rights, EPs). If you included a dry erase marker, or crayon(thinking rail baron type surface) that could be used to modify the map, and some cardboard treasure(I like having a physical object so there is no confusion over who is holding certain importaint items) that would be cool too. Though I doubt people would use them, I would include a PC group with cards or sheets for the players. while I am daydreaming, include a book of pictures a la Tomb Of Horror.

I'd be willing to buy a module with painted minis for all creaters/NPCs, and with Battle Mat-type sheets for all rooms/encounter areas including correct scale marked grids.

Very interesting. Thank you for your input folks.

Obviously, not something there is a demand for.

However, it is clear a lot of you would like battleplans and counters matching the NPCs in a given scenario module.

I have been tossing around the idea for a long time - since Citadel put out miniatures for their old WFRP modules.

Reaper released a module with matching miniatures I believe - I wonder how that is? I also am curious if anyone out there has painted all of the figures for it?

I'm from the UK and I buy a lot of figures from the Games Workshop, some include modules which I pay between £15-£20. They all come unpainted and requiring assembly. I personally don't mind the painting but not assembly so I'd say in UK money I'd pay £25 unpainted and assembled or £35 painted and assembled. Hope this helps you out a bit even though from another country
